Maybe if every time a soldier dies in Afghanistan or Iraq the media released that soldier’s name with a photo of him or her, people would pay more attention to the wars that are still going on. Maybe if we didn’t wait for a bunch of troops to die at once, maybe if we didn’t wait until it was an elite squad of soldiers that died and a face and name were put this on the front page of every news site for every death, people would pay more attention. Maybe if the media gave more notice to the death of each individual solider than than they give to the lives of individual celebrities there wouldn’t be so many people who forgot to give a shit about these wars.
